MEET AIDAN SULLIVAN… HE PICKS WINNERS!!!!

When the playoffs began, I made my picks and pitted them against the picks of my mother in law, my twin 4 year old sons and a coin toss.

I got 2 right (Yankees and Phillies) and two wrong (picked the Cardinals and Red Sox.)

My mother in law made the same picks. My son Matteo and the coin flip only got the Dodger series right.

But my son Aidan (pictured above) was an ace.

Yankees vs. Twins? He got it right.

Angels vs. Red Sox? Right on.

Dodgers vs. Cardinals? You bet.

And when the Phillies squeaked by the Rockies last night, he was a perfect 4 for 4.

So what does this mean?

It means if it continues, the Angels will sneak past the Yankees and the Phillies will beat the Dodgers… JUST AS HE PREDICTED!

And the World Series between the Angels and the Phillies will end memorably as he said very clearly “Angels EAT Phillies!”

Let’s see how his predicting skills continue.

Now if you will excuse me, I’m taking Aidan to the track!

Brad Lidge saved TWO GAMES? I’m as surprised as anyone

Come on admit it… you thought Brad Lidge was going to blow ONE of these games.

Do you who else had some doubts?

Charlie Manuel!

Did you notice in this wild, incredible, take a longer route home Game 4 that had a pair of 3 run rallies between the bottom of the 8th and top of the 9th, when it came to slamming the door for the series, Manuel DIDN’T initally turn to Lidge.

He brought in Scott Eyre for the save.

Eyre has 4 saves… total… in a 13 year career.

Since 2004 he has a grand total of zero saves.

And last night he had to be removed after rolling on his ankle.

That’s right, Charlie Manuel brought in a guy who averages .25 saves a season on one foot to close out a playoff series.

But give Lidge credit, he closed it out.

Who knows, maybe this was part of his deal with man downstairs.
