Maybe Josh Beckett should have been hit in the head LAST year!

Yeah, I know it is Spring Training and you have to take Grapefruit League stats with a grain of salt. That being said, it IS encouraging that he looked so sharp after getting clocked in the melon.

Maybe if someone clocked him in the head last season, he could have been better than 6-6 with a 5.78 ERA.

Either way, the Red Sox need to have Buchholz and Lester continue to pitch like they did last year and Beckett needs to be 2007 and 2009 Beckett and NOT 2006, 2008 and 2010 Beckett.

A clock to the head might do the trick.

As a former WFAN addict and as someone who for nearly 15 years went to sleep to either Steve Somers or Joe Beningo in the overnight show, I used to love hearing Doris from Rego Park call in almost every single night.

Doris is no longer with us and the build up to the Mets season lost a little but of its heart.

I wonder what Doris would have thought about her obit in the New York Times and her posthumous tributes.
