For 8 innings, the Red Sox and A’s game was a “cruise along, nobody worry about the outcome” game.

Suddenly in the 9th, the A’s had the tying run at the plate and everyone thought “What the hell?”

Meanwhile the Giants continued to sneak past Atlanta.

 The Red Sox nearly blow a 6-0 lead and a wonderful Jon Lester performance. The key word there is ALMOST. They topped Oakland, 6-3. DODGED BULLET
