A Gigantic Narrow Win

If the Giants really do want to win the NL West, a Division that EVERYONE thought was going to be won by Los Angeles, then they need to pile up wins against their arch rival Dodgers.

And the wins in April and May mean just as much as the ones later in the year.

Last night the Giants couldn’t hit, were shut down by Josh Beckett and looked like they were going to waste a terrific Ryan Vogelsong performance.

Instead they came back and won in extra innings. The Giants and the Dodgers have already played each other 7 times. The Giants have won 5 of those games. That’s not too shabby.

Time to update the Dodged Bullet – Teeth Grinder Tally.

An explanation of what this is all about can be found HERE.

The Giants are in first by themselves.

The magic number to win the Division is 126.

(It is never to early to start counting.)
