Today’s episode of The Sully Baseball Daily Podcast is a direct response to a Twitter follower.

I gave Who Owned Baseball to Julio Teheran over Adam Wainwright. Not everyone agreed.

It was a tough call. But the main difference was the fact that Teheran pitched against a first place Milwaukee team and Wainwright pitched against a horrible Diamondbacks squad.

Chris Davis, Hisashi Iwakumam Dernard Span, Julio Teheran, Garret Jones, Jonny Gomes and NOT Adam Wainwright all added to their totals for Who Owns Baseball

Sergio Romo twice got 2 strikes on a batter with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. Twice he had the Rockies on the ropes and a chance to push them 4 games back.

And twice they came off the matt and Nolan Arenado clocked a Coors Field drive that Jon Miller thought was a home run at first. It had the same result.

Meanwhile the Red Sox got clobbered early only to squander multiple rallies and fall short.

And the A’s keep on chugging.

One strike from a dramatic victory, Sergio Romo had a melt down in the 9th inning and the Rockies beat the Giants in a typical Coors game, 5-4.

The A’s kept squandering a chance to blow the game open, but the Tampa Bay bats could not put anything resembling a rally together. Oakland held on to a 3-0 win. DODGED BULLET

RED SOX DODGED BULLET – TEETH GRINDER Tally

Sox fell behind 6-0 early. Instead of being buried, they kept loading the bases but could only chip away. Ortiz nearly blasted a game tying bottom of the 9th homer. Instead they failed to score and Toronto won 7-4. TEETH GRINDER
