And I take a look at the league, the MVP and Cy Young candidates and wonder what the hell is happening with the Defending World Champs.

How much more awful can it get for the 2014 Boston Red Sox than today?
They had a lead, then lost it, they tied it and fell behind and their comeback rally came short.
First 10 game losing streak since 1994… even Bobby V didn’t drop 10 in a row. Not even the Beer and Fried Chicken Crew did that.
And to make everything worse, the Red Sox had a fight that made them look sore losers to boot.
Oh, to make today worse? Josh Beckett threw a no hitter.
Want to make it worse? Derek Jeter had a great day.
Even worse? EVERY other team in the AL East won.
How about stranger? Manny Ramirez is reentering the world as a player coach and mentor.
I feel like Lt. Dan on the boat with Forrest Gump screaming at the storm “IS THIS THE BEST YOU CAN DO!”
