Besides letting up 4 homers, it was a good game for the A’s

When the A’s tied the game in Houston on Cespedes’ 5th inning sacrifice fly, I thought it was only a matter of time before they would put together their big rally. I also thought Oakland’s pitching was going to hold the Astros down.

Instead the ‘Stros launced 4, count them, 4 homers. A three run shot to give them an early lead and then 3 in a 4 run sixth to give them the lead for good.

Take away those homers and the A’s have a victory. Maybe nobody told them that before the game.

The less said of the Giants and Red Sox losses the better. They combined for a 19-1 loss. Not good.

Time to update the Dodged Bullet/Teeth Grinder tally.

An explanation of what this is all about can be found HERE.

Can we just pretend this day didn’t happen? At this point tomorrow, the Red Sox might have dismantled the entire team. Might not be a bad idea.
