OK, I will admit that the last few weeks have not been good for the A’s.
They now trail the Angels by 1 1/2 games and the whole “best team in baseball” for most of the season will go down the toilet if the entire year rests on a one game playoff against David Price or Felix Hernandez.
Yeah, they should have scored more runs against the Mets yesterday. Yeah there is something not right with the offense. And it is easy to say “Blame the Jon Lester trade!”
But there are always ebbs and flows, ups and downs to a baseball season. Would you rather see them hit this slump in August or October?
Besides, with 6 head to head games in the next few weeks against the Angels, there is some ground to make up.
Relax. Have some individual sized Round Table Pizzas and throw Stomper some peanuts. The A’s will figure this out.
Meanwhile the Giants got a reprieve from a previous teeth grinder and the Red Sox find new ways to lose.
