Seriously. The entire Red Sox team should be sending a f—ing fruit basket to Oakland.
I don’t care if Boston has their eyes on rebuilding and the Angels are on a roll. I don’t care if the Red Sox are playing their Pawtucket squad. You have to win a single game in a 4 game series. Especially one where their best pitchers was carted off on a stretcher.
Instead the only solace from today came from the fact that they weren’t no hit!
Yes, Matt Shoemaker is a fine pitcher. But holy cow, did he make the Red Sox look like they were from a lower league today.
And now with the four game sweep in the books, the A’s and Angels are going to start a big series with Oakland in a 2 game hole.
Even just one Red Sox win in 4 games and it would be a 1 game deficit. Nope… that would be asking too much.
Meanwhile the Giants got a teeth grinder back but dodged another bullet.
