So much for the A’s momentum

Everything felt so good with the A’s on Sunday. They had a come from behind win, much needed relief and maybe some momentum would be built.

They came from behind yesterday and were 2 outs away from taking back to back from the Astros. (Yes, beating the Astros has become an achievement for the A’s now.)

And then a nice bullpen meltdown complete with a bases loaded walk to fall behind and the A’s needed a 9th inning miracle.

This time there was no Chad Qualls to beat up and the A’s lost again… to the Astros… at home.

The bright side? They are still a playoff team! And maybe the law of averages will be on their side in the post season.

But they’ve dropped 11 games in the standings in a little more than a month and doing so with tight ball game after tight ballgame.

Our teeth are grinding to the gums!

I guess I should update the Dodged Bullet/Teeth Grinder tally.

An explanation of what this is all about can be found HERE.

All 3 won on Saturday. All 3 lost on Sunday. Thus is the nature of Baseball.
