Giants… this is a BAD time to go on a 3 game losing streak

This is how strange it is following a baseball team as opposed to, say, a football team.

If your football team won this weekend, you are carrying that good feeling around for a week.

If your baseball team won this weekend, you might be depressed by Tuesday.

The Giants won on Friday, pulling within a game of first place Los Angeles. Here we are on Tuesday morning and the Giants are in the middle of a 3 games LOSING streak and have fallen 4 games behind the Dodgers and hopes of a Division Title have all but slipped away.

Losing to Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw like they did on Saturday and Sunday? OK. That happens.

Losing the to Diamondbacks on Monday? That stinks. Especially since most of the Diamondbacks offense came on a Trumbo grand slam and the Giants got 11 hits but only 2 runs to show for it.

The good news for the Giants is Atlanta has all but fallen out of the Wild Card race and they have to keep Pittsburgh and Milwaukee at arm’s length to get an October ticket.

But man, the idea of a Division Title was cool, wasn’t it?

Ah well… Friday was a long time ago.

I guess I should update the Dodged Bullet/Teeth Grinder tally.

An explanation of what this is all about can be found HERE.

The Red Sox play the Pirates. A few Boston wins could help the Giants close in on clinching the Wild Card.

It would help if the Giants won.
