Let’s see owned baseball on May 15, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Patrick Corbin struck out 11 Mets in 8 innings, allowing 1 run and earning the 5-1 victory for the Nationals.

Jarrod Dyson reached base 3 times, scored 3 runs and stole a pair of bases to help the Diamondbacks thump the Pirates, 11-1.

Gleyber Torres hit two homers in the 5-3 Yankee double header opener over Baltimore and added a third homer in the 3-1 nightcap for the sweep.

Justin Verlander went 7 innings against his former team, the Tigers, striking out 9 and allowing a single run as the Astros won 5-1.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Andrew Cashner threw 6 innngs, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs and struck out 7 Yankees but took the hard luck 3-1 decision for Baltimore.

Yu Darvish struck out 11 Reds in 5 1/3 innings but the Cubs bullpen dropped the 6-5 final in 11 innings.

Tommy La Stella got 4 hits, including a homer, but the Angels comeback fell a run short against Minnesota, 8-7.

Jean Segura went 2 for 4 with a home run but the Phillies fell to Milwaukee, 5-2.

Keuchel, Kimbrel and Risking a Draft Pick: Locked On MLB – May 16, 2019
