Let’s see owned baseball on May 17, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Kris Bryant homered 3 times, driving in 5, and added another hit to power the Cubs past Washington, 14-6.

Jordan Lyles struck out 12 Padres in 7 innings, allowing 1 run and earning the 5-3 decision for the Pirates.

Frankie Montas pitched into the 9th, finishing with 10 strikeout in 8 2/3 innings as the A’s beat the Tigers, 7-2.

Luke Voit went 3 for 4 with a homer in the Yankees 4-3 come from behind walk off win over Tampa Bay.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Pete Alonso homered twice in the Mets 8-6 loss to Miami.

Xander Bogaerts collected 3 hits, including a double, scored and stole a base but the Red Sox fell to the Astros, 3-1.

Yonny Chirinos came into the game in the third and threw 4 2/3 key shutout innings, striking out 2 Yankees and walking none. The Tampa Bay bullpen imploded in the 9th and blew the game, 4-3.

Tyler Webb struck out 5 Rangers in 2 2/3 innings of no hit shutout relief but the Cardinals could not complete a comeback and dropped the 7-3 final.
