Let’s see owned baseball on May 18, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Josh Bell homered twice, added another hit and drove in 4 to power the Pirates past San Diego, 7-2.

Griffin Canning tossed 7 shutout frames, striking out 5 Royals, to earn the 6-3 decision for the Angels.

C. J. Cron hit 2 of Minnesota’s 6 homers, adding a third hit, scoring 3 and driving in 4 in their 18-4 blowout in Seattle.

Pablo Lopez threw 7 innings of 1 hit shutout ball, walking only 2 as the Marlins blanked the Mets, 2-0.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Walker Buehler struck out 7 Reds in 6 innings, allowing 1 earned run. However 3 unearned runs would sink him and the Dodgers, 4-0.

Lorenzo Cain doubled twice and singled, scoring a run and driving in another. But the Braves walked off against the Brewers, 4-3.

Whit Merrifield hit a pair of doubles, knocking in 2 and scoring a run in the Royals 6-3 loss to the Angels.

Masahiro Tanaka held Tampa Bay scoreless for 6 innings, striking out 6 along along the way. The Yankee bullpen would lose the lead in the 7th and the 2-1 game in the 11th.
