Let’s see owned baseball on June 1, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Orlando Arcia homered twice and walked, driving in 4 key runs in the Brewers come from behind extra innings 12-10 slug fest win against the Pirates.

Marwin Gonzalez doubled and homered in the Twins 6-2 victory in Tampa Bay.

Clayton Kershaw struck out 6 Phillies in 7 innings, allowing 1 run and walking none. He did not get the decision but the Dodgers walked off on top, 4-3.

Justin Verlander threw 8 strong innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run while striking out 8 Oakland batters to earn the 5-1 decision for the Astros.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Jacob deGrom pitched into the 7th, allowing 1 run and 5 hits while striking out 7 Diamondbacks in 6 2/3 innings. The Mets bullpen would have another spectacular meltdown and fumble away the 6-5 final in extra innings.

Edwin Encarnación homered twice for the Mariners in a losing 6-3 cause against the Angels.

Starling Marte went 4 for 7 with a homer and 3 RBI but the Pirates lost the wild 12-10 game to Milwaukee in extra innings.

Marcus Stroman threw 7 innings in Coors Field and allowed 3 earned runs and 1 unearned run while walking none. His Blue Jays were doubled up by the Rockies, 4-2.
