Let’s see owned baseball on June 30, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Shane Bieber threw 8 shutout innings, recording 11 strikeouts as the Indians blanked the Orioles, 2-0.

Matt Chapman missed the cycle by a single, driving in 6 runs as the A’s clobbered the Angels, 12-3.

Kevin Pillar went 4 for 5 with a homer and 5 RBI to help the Giants top the Diamondbacks, 10-4.

Max Scherzer struck out 14 Tigers in 8 innings, walking none and allowing 1 run earning the 2-1 decision for the Nationals.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Ronald Acuña Jr. collected 3 hits, including a homer, stole a base and scored 3 times. The Braves bullpen would blow the lead and the game to the Mets, 8-5.

Shohei Ohtani homered twice in the Angels 12-3 loss to the A’s.

Chad Sobotka struck out 3 Mets in 2 innings of 1 hit shutout ball out of the pen. The Braves bullpen could not save his lead as they fell 8-5.

Jordan Zimmermann held the Nationals to 1 run in 6 innings. The Tigers bullpen dropped the 2-1 final.
