It is the All Star Break and the Pittsburgh Pirates find themselves just 2 1/2 games out of a Division Title. They should go for it cautiously.

Meanwhile the Nationals wear Expos gear and I discuss my video project, the In Memoriam video.

This is the Locked On MLB Podcast hosted by me, Paul Francis Sullivan. Please call me Sully.

Let’s see owned baseball on July 7, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Greg Allen homered, tripled and added a pair of singles, to help the Indians clobber Cincinnati, 11-1.

Jay Bruce went 3 for 4 with 2 homers to slug the Phillies past the Mets, 8-3.

Trevor Bauer threw 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 9 to lead Cleveland past Cincinnati, 11-1.

Patrick Corbin threw 7 shutout innings, striking out 11 Royals en route to a 5-2 Washington victory.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Jesus Aguilar went 3 for 4 with 2 homers but the Pirates edged the Brewers, 6-5.

Jack Flaherty took a no hitter into the 7th. A solo homer would break up the no no and would be his undoing as St. Louis was blanked by the Giants, 1-0.

Jakob Junis threw 7 strong innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs while striking out 6 Nationals. The Kansas City bullpen would blow the 5-2 game.

Omar Narvaez homered twice and singled twice, driving in 4, but the Mariners came up short against Oakland, 7-4.
