Let’s see owned baseball on August 11, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Paul Goldschmidt went 4 for 5, including a homer, driving in 3 and stole a base as the Cardinals came from behind to top the Pirates, 11-9.

Hyun-Jin Ryu threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits and striking out 4 Diamondbacks for the Dodgers 9-3 win.

Jorge Soler reached base 4 times, including 2 homers, driving in 5 runs, as the Royals trounced the Tigers 10-2.

Ryan Yarbrough pitched a shutout into the 9th, finishing with 8 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out 8 as the Rays blanked the Mariners, 1-0.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Josh Bell homered twice and singled in the Pirates 11-9 loss to St. Louis.

Carlos Correa hit a 3 run homer and added another hit but the Astros bullpen dropped the 8-7 game to Baltimore.

Lucas Giolito held the A’s to 2 runs in 6 innings, striking out 13 along the way, but the White Sox were blanked, 2-0.

Jordan Lyles struck out 9 Rangers in 7 innings allowing 1 run but took the hard luck 1-0 decision for Milwaukee.
