We are now in Aug. So this month, each day a team is in a playoff position is worth THREE POINTS on their Summer Score.

The Twins, Astros, Yankees, Indians and Rays are from the American League.
The Dodgers, Cardinals, Braves, Nationals and Cubs are from the National League.

Let’s see owned baseball on August 24, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Bo Bichette singled, doubled and homered, driving in 3, to help the Blue Jays come from behind and top Seattle, 7-5.

Corey Dickerson went 4 for 5 with 5 RBI in the Phillies 9-3 win in Miami.

Dakota Hudson threw 6 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits as the Cardinals blanked the Rockies, 6-0.

John Means held the Rays to 1 run, 5 hits and no walks over 7 innings to earn the 7-1 decision for Baltimore.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Jorge Alfaro got 3 hits, including a homer, but the Marlins fell to the Phillies, 9-3.

Zac Gallen struck out 8 Brewers in 5 innings but took the hard luck 4-0 loss for Arizona.

Chad Green gave the Yankees 2 critical shutout innings allowing no hits and no walks while striking out 4 Dodgers. But their comeback came up short in the 2-1 final.

Dawel Lugo reached base 3 times, including a homer, but the Tigers were defeated by Minnesota, 8-5.
