Let’s see owned baseball on August 30, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Mookie Betts homered in the first and the 15th innings to lead the Red Sox to a 7-6 marathon win over the Angels.

Madison Bumgarner struck out 9 Padres over 7 innings, allowing 1 run to earn the 8-3 decision for the Giants.

Todd Frazier hit a pair of 3 run homers to give the Mets a much needed 11-5 victory over Philadelphia.

John Means threw 7 strong innings, allowing 2 runs while walking no Royals batter while the Orioles took the 14-2 blowout.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Shane Bieber was solid for 6 1/3 innings, allowing 3 runs and no walks. But the Indians were blanked by the Rays, 4-0.

Ian Desmond went 3 for 4 with a homer and 2 runs scored but the Rockies could not come from behind and dropped the 9-4 final to Pittsburgh.

Brian Goodwin homered twice in the Angels 15 inning 7-6 loss to Boston.

Aaron Nola pitched into the 7th, holding the Mets to 1 run and 4 hits over 6 1/3 innings. He did not fare in the decision as the Phillies bullpen imploded in the 11-5 final.
