Earning Full WOBs:
Pete Alonso reached base 3 times and homered in the Mets dramatic 7-4 come from behind victory in Colorado.
Homer Bailey threw 7 shutout innings, striking out 11 Royals. He did not get the decision but set up the A’s 1-0 walk off win in extra innings.
Dinelson Lamet struck out 14 Brewers in 6 innings, allowing 1 run, getting the 2-1 decision for the Padres.
Tommy Pham collected 5 hits, including 2 doubles, scoring 3 runs including one in the game tying rally in the 9th and another in the game winning rally in the 11th, as the Rays stunned the Dodgers, 8-7.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Starlin Castro got 3 hits and scored 2 runs but the Marlins came up short against Arizona, 5-4.
Danny Duffy gave the Royals 7 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits, but could not prevent the A’s from taking the 1-0 game in extra innings.
Jon Lester allowed 1 run in his 5 innings of work but the Cubs could not stop the Reds, 3-2.
Jonathan Villar went 3 for 6 with a home run, 3 runs scored and a stolen base in the Orioles 11-10 slugfest defeat to the Blue Jays.
