Who Owned October (#WOO) – Tallies Updated For AL Division Series Game 5, October 10, 2019

colled

Karen Warren – Houston Chronicle

That’s it for the Division Series. On to the ALCS and NLCS.

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.

From October 10
2019 AL Division Series Game 5:

Receiving 1 WOO

Michael Brantley reached base 3 times, scoring twice including a back breaking 8th inning homer to help the Astros eliminate the Rays with a 6-1 victory.

Gerrit Cole dominated Tampa Bay, striking out 10 in 8 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 run to earn the decision in the Astros 6-1 Division Series clincher.

Receiving 1/2 WOO

Blake Snell stopped the bleeding with 1 1/3 shutout relief, starting in the third, allowing no Astros hits or walks. It was too little too late as the Rays fell, 5-1.

Eric Sogard homered for the Rays only run in their 6-1 loss to the Astros.
