Earning Full WOBs:

Maikel Franco homered twice and added another hit to lead the Royals to a 14-6 pounding of Detroit.

Jon Lester threw 5 innings of shutout, hitless ball. The Cubs would hang on to top the Reds, 8-7.

Burch Smith threw a pair of shutout innings to earn the 3-0 decision for the A’s against the Angels.

Fernando Tatís Jr. singled and tripled, driving in 3 runs, to help the Padres win 6-2 over Arizona.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Taylor Clarke held the Padres scoreless over 3 2/3 innings of relief but the Diamondbacks still dropped the 6-2 final.

Zack Godley threw 4 shutout innings out of the bullpen, striking out 7 Mets but the Red Sox dropped the 7-4 game.

JaCoby Jones went 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI but the Tigers were clobbered by Kansas City, 14-6.

Colin Moran hit a pair of homers but the Pirates bullpen imploded in the 6-5 extra inning loss to Milwaukee.

Earning Full WOBs:

Carlos Carrasco threw 6 strong innings, striking out 10 Royals and allowing only 2 runs as the Indians rolled to a 9-2 final.

Tyler Chatwood allowed 3 hits and 1 run over 6 innings, striking out 8 Brewers and earned the 9-1 decision for the Cubs.

Nelson Cruz compiled 12 total bases over 4 hits, including 2 homers, driving in 7, as the Twins pounded the White Sox, 14-2.

Miguel Rojas homered, collected 2 more hits and drove in 4 as the beleaguered Marlins topped the Phillies, 11-6.

 

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Matt Andriese entered a first inning mess with nobody out and proceeded to throw 5 2/3 shutout innings to stop the bleeding. It was not enough as the A’s topped the Angels, 6-4.

Trevor Bauer struck out 13 Tigers in 6 1/3 innings but did not fare in the decision as the Reds dropped the 3-2 final.

Adam Haseley went 4 for 6, scoring twice and driving in another but the Phillies fell to the Marlins, 11-6.

Mike Trout hit a 3 run homer and added another hit in the Angels 6-4 loss in Oakland.

Earning Full WOBs:

Dylan Bundy pitched into the 7th, finishing with 3 hits and 1 run over 6 2/3 innings, striking out 7 Oakland batters to secure a 4-1 Angels win.

Leury García homered twice, added another hit and drove in 4 to slug the White Sox past the Twins, 10-3.

Phil Gosselin reached base 4 times, including a pair of homers, to help the Phillies clobber the Marlins 7-1.

Zack Wheeler threw 7 innings, allowing 1 run and earned the 7-1 decision for the Phillies over Miami.

 

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Mike Clevinger was solid in 7 innings, striking out 6 Royals along the way. The Indians would drop the 3-2 game in extra innings.

Steven Matz struck out 7 Braves over 6 strong innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 run. But the Mets bullpen collapsed and the Braves rallied in extra innings, 5-3.

Giancarlo Stanton homered and got on base 2 more times but the Yankees were blown out by the Nationals, 9-2.

Joey Votto reached base 3 times, including his second home run, but the Reds came up short to the Tigers, 6-4.
