One game last night was a season saving nail biter. One was a record blow out that was done in the top of the first.
Who owned October on October 14?
Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)
And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.
But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)
At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.
A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.
From October 14, 2020 –
GAME 3 of the NLCS and GAME 4 of the ALCS
Receiving 1 WOO
Zack Greinke threw 6 solid innings, allowing 2 runs while striking out 7 Rays to earn the 4-3 decision for Houston.
Corey Seager singled, doubled and homered, driving in 3 and scoring 3, to lead the Dodgers to a 15-3 laugher over Atlanta.
George Springer went 3 for 4 with a go ahead homer as the Astros stayed alive with a 4-3 win over the Rays.
Julio Urías allowed 1 run in 5 stress free innings earning the 15-3 victory for Los Angeles against the Braves.
Receiving 1/2 WOO
Randy Arozarena hit a 2 run homer in the Rays 4-3 loss to Houston.
Tyler Glasnow allowed just a pair of mistakes in 6 strong innings but they were enough to put the Rays behind in the 4-3 edging by Astros.
Cristian Pache homered to give the Braves a rare highlight in their 15-3 bombing by the Dodgers.
Huascar Ynoa saved the Braves bullpen with 4 shutout innings, striking out 4 Dodgers, mopping up the humiliating 15-3 loss.
