Madison Bumgarner continued his hot streak by throwing 7 shutout innings, striking out 9 Marlins, and earning the 11-3 decision for Arizona.

Lance McCullers Jr. threw 8 strong innings, fanning 9 Angels and holding them to 1 run as the Astros won, 5-1.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3 for 5 with a home run as the Blue Jays topped Atlanta, 5-3.

Manny Machado picked up the slack from his missing teammates to triple, homer and walk and power San Diego past Colorado, 8-1.

Earning ½ WOB

Shohei Ohtani struck out 10 Astros in 7 innings, allowing 1 run. But the Angels bullpen imploded, handing over the 5-1 final.

Freddy Peralta held the Cardinals to 1 hit and 1 walk over 7 shutout innings, striking out 8. The Brewers would drop the 6-1 game in extra innings.

Jorge Soler tried to win the game for the Royals all by himself, driving in 6 of their 7 runs including a home run and a 3 run game tying double in the 9th. But the Tigers walked it off, 8-7.

Jesse Winker collected 3 hits, including a home run, in the Reds 7-2 loss to Pittsburgh.
