EARNING FULL WOB’s

Zack Greinke pitched into the 8th, allowing 1 run and 5 hits over 7 1/3 innings as the red hot Astros took the 3-1 final from Baltimore.

Ramon Laureano got 3 hits, including a homer, and scored 3 runs to help the A’s top the Rangers, 13-6.

Charlie Morton allowed 1 hit over 7 innings, stirking out 11 to help Atlanta blank the Mets, 3-0.

Tyler Naquin reached base 5 times, including a 9th inning 3 run homer that gave the Reds the lead for good in a wild 10-7 slugfest in Minnesota.

EARNING 1/2 WOB’s

Sandy Alcantara had another solid start, allowing 1 run over 8 innings to Toronto, but the Marlins bullpen dropped the 2-1 game.

Gerrit Cole held the Royals to 3 hits and 2 runs over 7 innings, but the normally reliable Yankee bullpen blew game, 6-5.

Wander Franco made a splash in his big league debut, getting on base 3 times and launching a game tying 3 run home run. The Rays would drop the 9-5 final to the Red Sox in extra innings.

Rhys Hoskins singled and homered but the Phillies were edged by the Nationals, 3-2.
