EARNING FULL WOB’s

Lucas Giolito threw 8 strong innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 8 Minnesota batters en route to an 11-1 laugher for the White Sox.

Eric Hosmer went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 runs scored to help the Padres top Miami, 9-3.

Eloy Jimenez continued his hot hitting with a pair of home runs as the White Sox rolled, 11-1, over the Twins.

Joe Musgrove fanned 8 Marlins in 6 innings to get the 8-3 victory for the Padres.

EARNING 1/2 WOB’s

Lewis Brinson homered and singled but the Marlins dropped the 8-3 final to the Padres.

Carlos Hernandez did not allow a run until the 7th, giving the Royals 6 2/3 solid frames. The Yankees and Royals would go back and forth in extra innings before KC finally fell 8-6.

Jeff Hoffman put out the early fire and held the Indians scoreless over 2 2/3 innings of relief, striking out 4. But the damage was already done and Cincinnati lost, 9-3.

Nicky Lopez got a pair of hits, scored a run, drove in a run and stole a base but the Royals could not drive in that winning run in the 8-6 marathon with the Yankees.
