It was a good day for hitters for teams called Sox on Sunday. And we have locked in one more day with 4 games going on.
Who owned October on October 10?
Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)
And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.
But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)
At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.
A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.
From October 10, 2021 –

Leury Garcia hit a go ahead 3 run homer and added an RBI double to help the White Sox double up Houston, 12-6.
Nick Pivetta struck out 7 Rays over 4 innings of shutout relief in extra innings to earn the 6-4 decision for the Red Sox.
Ryan Tepera came out of the bullpen to throw 2 perfect innings, striking out 3 Astros, setting up the season saving 12-6 White Sox win.
Christian Vazquez walked off the 13 innings marathon for the Red Sox with a 2 run homer that sunk the Rays, 6-4.
Receiving 1/2 WOO
Wander Franco homered, singled and provided some dazzling defense but the Rays fell to Boston in 13, 6-4.
Cristian Javier kept the Astros in the game with 2 2/3 shutout innings, allowing no hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. But the damage had been done and the White Sox rolled to a 12-6 victory.
