The Braves took Game 1 of the World Series and a former Astros starter showed legendary toughness.

So Who Owned the World Series and October on October 26, 2021?

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.

From October 26, 2021 –

World Series Game 1

Receiving 1 WOWS and WOO

Charlie Morton pitched well into the 3rd, even retiring a trio of Houston hitters on a broken foot. He was removed before he could get a decision but hi performance set up the Braves’ 6-2 win.

Jorge Soler homered to lead off the World Series with a home run and added another run to give the Braves a 6-2 victory over Houston.

Receiving 1/2 WOWS and WOO

Michael Brantley went 3 for 5 in the Astros 6-2 loss to Atlanta.

Jake Odorizzi gave Houston 2 1/3 shutout innings, fanning 5, but Houston fell, 6-2.
