Official Sully Baseball Picks for the 2022 MLB Season

The season is going to start in a few hours… time to get my picks down and make them official.

AMERICAN LEAGUE EAST – Toronto Blue Jays

AMERICAN LEAGUE CENTRAL – Chicago White Sox

AMERICAN LEAGUE WEST – Seattle Mariners

AMERICAN LEAGUE WILD CARD TEAMS – Tampa Bay Rays, Houston Astros, Minnesota Twins

NATIONAL LEAGUE EAST – New York Mets

NATIONAL LEAGUE CENTRAL – Milwaukee Brewers

NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST – Los Angeles Dodgers

NATIONAL LEAGUE WILD CARDS – Atlanta Braves, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres

WORLD SERIES PREDICTION – Los Angeles Dodgers defeat Toronto Blue Jays, 4 Games to 1

AL MVP – Vladimir Guerrero Jr. – Toronto Blue Jays

AL Cy Young – Jose Berrios – Toronto Blue Jays

AL Rookie of the Year – Julio Rodriguez – Seattle Mariners

AL Manager of the Year – Scott Servaid – Seattle Mariners

First AL Manager Fired – Chris Woodward – Texas Rangers

NL MVP – Freddie Freeman – Los Angeles Dodgers

NL Cy Young – Brandon Woodruff – Milwaukee Brewers

NL Rookie of the Year – Alek Thomas – Arizona Diamondbacks

First NL Manager Fired – Don Mattingly – Miami Marlins

There you go… and yes, I am predicting that neither the Boston Red Sox nor the New York Yankees will make the postseason. I am not a fan of either team’s pitching depth.

So let us see which of these predictions will come true and which will look terrible in retrospect.

And now for the two best words in the English language:

PLAY BALL!
