(Brendan Kuty | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com)

Baseball can be strange. The Baltimore Orioles were rained out. They did not play. And because of that, and Tampa Bay’s loss, they have for the first time all season, moved onto the Summer Score tally.

Now there are 3 points awarded for each day in a playoff position this August.

The Braves, Cardinals, Dodgers, Mets, Padres and Philles all added to their Summer Score in the American League.

The Astros, Blue Jays, Guardians, Mariners, Orioles, Rays and Yankees all added from the American League.
