Who Owned the World Series (WOWS) and Who Owned October (WOO) – Updated for October 28, 2022

It sure looked like it was going to be a night where Kyle Tucker owned October and the World Series when the Astros took an early 5-0 lead. But the World Series has a way of humbling teams and Philadelphia walked away winners.

Who owned October on October 28?

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.

From October 28, 2022 –

Receiving 1 WOWS and WOO

J. T. Realmuto hit a go ahead home run in the 10th to cap off a night where he also walked and doubled to lead Philadelphia past Houston, 6-5.

David Robertson worked around a walk and a hit to strikeout 2 Astros and save the Phillies 6-5 win.

Receiving 1/2 WOWS and WOO

Bryan Abreu gave the Astros 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in the 6-5 loss to the Phillies.

Kyle Tucker homered twice, added another hit and drive in 4 runs but the Astros dropped the 6-5 final to Philadelphia in 10.
