Who Owned the World Series (WOWS) and Who Owned October (WOO) – Updated for November 2, 2022

When history is made in a World Series game, it is pretty easy to pick who Owned October and the World Series. What is hard? Picking someone to get a 1/2 WOO and WOWS from the offense of a team that just got no hit!

Who owned October on November 2?

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.

WORLD SERIES GAME 4

Receiving 1 WOWS and WOO

Alex Bregman hit a key 2 run double to help the Astros finish a historic 5-0 blanking of the Phillies.

Cristian Javier threw the first 6 innings of the second no hitter ever thrown in World Series history, fanning 9 Phillies in the 5-0 final.

Receiving 1/2 WOWS and WOO

Zach Eflin struck out the side in his lone inning of work but the Phillies were totally shut down by the Astros, 5-0.

Bryce Harper walked and stole a base to provide some of the only Phillies offense in the 5-0 no hitter by the Astros.
