So now it its best of three… thanks in part to Bregman’s big bat. We WILL head to Houston.

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.

Víctor Robles hit an RBI triple for the only Nationals run of the game in the 4-1 loss to Houston.

Joe Ross made his postseason debut a good one, throwing 2 shutout innings and keeping the Astros from adding on. The Nationals could not rally and fell 4-1.

Kurt Suzuki and the Nationals turned a tight game into a blow out and the World Series could be over before it started.

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

From October 23
2019 World Series Game 2:

Receiving 1 WOO

Stephen Strasburg overcame early jitters to strike out 7 Astros in 6 innings, allowing 2 runs and earned the 12-3 decision for Washington.

Kurt Suzuki got 2 hits, including a go ahead 7th inning homer, threw out a base stealer and played stellar defense in the Nationals’ stunning 12-3 pounding of the Astros.

Receiving 1/2 WOO

Alex Bregman hit a game tying homer in the first but the Astros would collapse late against the Nationals, 12-3.

Justin Verlander was solid through 6 innings but got in trouble in the 7th. The Astros bullpen imploded, leading the Nationals to a misleading 12-3 final.
