Who Owned October (WOO) – Updated for October 14, 2022

Tim Nwachukwu/Getty Images

Cleveland got off the mat and two sub 90 win teams are on the verge of knocking out two 100 win teams for an unlikely NLCS.

Who owned October on October 14?

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.

From October 14, 2022 –

AL DIVISION SERIES GAME 2

NL DIVISION SERIES GAME 3

Receiving 1 WOO

Emmanuel Clase pitched with the game on the line for 2 1/3 tense innings, where he kept the Yankees scoreless to seal Cleveland’s 4-2 win.

Rhys Hoskins blew open a close game with a 3 run home run to lead the Phillies in a 9-1 pounding of Atlanta.

Aaron Nola did not allow an earned run in 6 innings, striking out 6 Braves to earn the 9-1 decision for Philadelphia.

Amed Rosario got a pair of hits, including a game tying home run, to help Cleveland top the Yankees, 4-2.

Blake Snell struck out 6 Dodgers in 5 1/3 innings to earn the 2-1 win for the Padres.

Mookie Betts drove in the Dodgers only run in their 2-1 loss to the Padres.

Nestor Cortes Jr. gutted through 5 innings, making a highlight defensive play, but the Yankees were doubled up by Cleveland, 4-2.

Travis d’Arnaud doubled twice in the Braves 9-1 loss to the Phillies.

Andrew Heaney gave the Dodgers 3 critical innings of relief but they lost to the Padres, 2-1.

Jake Odorizzi saved the Braves bullpen with 3 innings as Philadelphia rolled to the 9-1 final.
