Earning Full WOBs:

Kevin Newman homered twice as the Pirates edged the Reds, 6-5.

Giancarlo Stanton got on base 5 times including a home run and a back breaking 2 run single as the Yankees doubled up Texas, 14-7.

Austin Voth held the Indians to 2 hits, no walks and 5 strikeouts over 6 innings as the Nationals prevailed 8-2 and eliminated Cleveland.

Asher Wojciechowski tossed 6 shutout innings, striking out 6 Red Sox to earn the 4-1 decision for Baltimore.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Mike Fiers gave Oakland 5 solid innings, allowing 2 runs and striking out 4. The playoff bound A’s dropped the 4-3 game to Seattle in the 9th.

Teoscar Hernández reached base 3 times, including a homer, but the Rays topped the Blue Jays, 6-2.

Keston Hiura went 4 for 4 in the Brewers 11-7 loss in Colorado.

Dakota Hudson struck out 10 Cubs over 5 scoreless innings. He did no fare in the decision as the Cardinals were crushed 8-2.

Let’s see owned baseball on July 26, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Mookie Betts accumulated 14 total bases with 3 homers and a double, driving in 5 and scoring 4 to help the Red Sox double up the Yankees, 10-5.

Gio González pitched into the 7th, keeping the Cubs to 3 hits and 2 runs while striking out 9. He did not get the decision but set up the Brewers 3-2 win.

Daniel Murphy drove in 6 runs with a double and a homer as the Rockies pounded the Reds, 12-2.

Asher Wojciechowski threw 7 innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs, earning another Orioles victory, topping the Angels, 9-3.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Michael Brantley homered and walked, driving in 3. But the Cardinals came from behind to beat the Astros, 5-3.

Adam Frazier went 2 for 4 with a homer in the Pirates 6-3 loss to the Mets.

Daniel Norris pitched into the 7th, striking out 8 over 6 1/3 innings and allowing 1 run. He did not get the decision as the Tigers fell to Seattle, 3-2.

Aníbal Sánchez gave the Nats 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 6 Dodgers. But Washington’s bullpen lost again, 4-2.

Earning Full WOBs:

Charlie Blackmon went 4 for 5 with a homer and 3 runs scored as the Rockies doubled up the Yankees, 8-4.

Walker Buehler struck out 11 Miami batters in 7 shutout innings as the Dodgers finished off a 9-0 laugher.

Trey Mancini homered twice, driving in 3, in the Orioles 5-0 win over Boston.

Asher Wojciechowski took a no hitter into the 7th and finished with 7 1/3 shutout innings, 1 hit and 10 strikeouts as the Orioles blanked the Red Sox, 5-0.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Anthony DeSclafani allowed 1 earned run and 1 unearned run in 6 innings, fanning 11 St. Louis batters along the way. The Reds bats were dead and dropped the 3-1 final.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. homered and doubled, driving in 3, but the Blue Jays came up short against Detroit, 4-3.

Lance Lynn struck out 12 Astros in 7 innings but took the hard luck 5-3 loss for the Rangers.

Ketel Marte reached base 4 times, scored twice and stole a base but the Diamondbacks fell to Milwaukee, 7-4.
