Let’s see owned baseball on June 14, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Jake Bauers hit for the cycle, driving in 4 runs and scoring a pair, giving the Indians a much needed 13-4 victory over Detroit.

Kyle Gibson threw 8 innings of 2 hit shutout ball as the Twins blanked Kansas City, 2-0.

Hunter Renfroe homered 3 times, including one in the wild 6 run 9th inning and 1 in the 12th inning game winning rally as the Padres stunned the Rockies, 16-12.

Max Scherzer struck out 10 Diamondbacks over 7 innings, giving up 3 hits, 2 runs and 1 walk to earn the 7-3 decision.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Charlie Blackmon went 4 for 7, including a homer, but the Rockies had an epic collapse in the 16-12 final against San Diego.

Jacob deGrom threw 7 innings, striking out 8 and no walks in the suspended game against the Cardinals. The game resumed and the Mets bullpen dropped the game 5-4.

Brad Keller silenced the mighty Twins bats with 7 scoreless frames, allowing 3 hits and 3 walks. The Kansas City bullpen would allow 2 runs which was enough in the 2-0 loss.

Luke Voit got on base 4 times including a homer that briefly gave the Yankees the lead. The rest of the night was all White Sox, who won 10-2.

Let’s see owned baseball on June 8, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

JaCoby Jones homered twice, adding another hit, driving in 5, to slug the Tigers past first place Minnesota, 9-3.

Nick Pivetta threw a complete came, allowing 1 run and walking no Reds to give the Phillies a 4-1 win.

Adrian Sampson led the Rangers in the first game of a doubleheader with a complete game 4 hits, 1 run victory, striking out 7 Oakland batters for the 3-1 final.

Corey Seager compiled 4 hits, driving in 4, as the Dodgers topped the Giants, 7-2.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Didi Gregorius went 2 for 4 with a homer and 2 RBI and 2 runs scored but the Yankees came up short in Cleveland, 8-4.

Brad Keller went 8 strong innings, giving up only 2 runs while striking out 4 White Sox batters. The Royals were shutout, however, 2-0.

Marcell Ozuna hit a 3 run homer in the first but the Cardinals offense sputtered out and the Cubs came back to win, 9-4.

Trevor Richards held the Braves to 2 hits and 1 run over 7 innings. But he took the hard luck loss as the Marlins were blanked, 1-0.

Let’s see owned baseball on April 12, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Willson Contreras hit a pair of homers and added another hit to lead the Cubs past the Angels, 5-1.

Cole Hamels threw 8 strong innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run and no walks while striking out 5 Angels to earn the 5-1 decision for the Cubs.

Brad Keller struck out 10 Cleveland batters in 6 2/3 innings, allowing a single run as Kansas City rolled to an 8-1 final.

Austin Meadows reached base 4 times, including a pair of homers, as the red hot Rays out slugged the Blue Jays, 11-7.

 

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Elvis Andrus homered, singled and stole a base but the Rangers came up short against the A’s. 8-6.

Patrick Corbin went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 11 Pirates. The Nationals bullpen would blow the lead in the 8th and the 6-3 game in the 10th.

Sam Gaviglio came out of the bullpen in the 4th and gave the Blue Jays 3 innings where he kept the damage to a minimum, allowing 2 hits and 1 run. The Rays would homer off of the other relievers and pull away for the 11-7 win.

Anthony Rendon homered twice in the Nationals 6-3 loss to Pittsburgh.
