Garrett Cooper homered twice and added another hit and a walk leading to the Marlins 9-6 walk off win over the Dodgers.

Jacob deGrom worked out of early trouble to strike out 10 Brewers in 7 innings, walking none and putting the Mets in position to walk off 4-3 winners.

Michael Wacha threw 6 innings, allowing 1 run and no walks while striking out 6 Cleveland batters to earn the 8-1 decision for Tampa Bay in the double header opener, setting up the team no hitter in the night cap.

Jared Walsh hit a pair of home runs to help the Angels edge the Red Sox, 5-4.

EARNING 1/2 WOB’s

Corbin Burnes pitched into the 6th , allowing 1 run while striking out 8 Mets in 5 2/3 innings. But the Brewers bullpen had a rare hiccup and dropped the 4-3 game.

Joey Gallo got on base 3 times, including 2 homers, driving in all 3 of the Rangers runs in their 5-3 loss to the Tigers.

Brady Singer was effective in 6 innings, allowing 1 run, but took the no decision as the Reds topped the Royals 5-2.

Justin Turner went 3 for 4 with a home run but the Dodgers bullpen collapsed in the 9-6 final against Miami.

Jeimer Candelario collected 3 hits including a home run and a 2 run single in the 9th to cap a come back rally for the Tigers 6-3 doubling up of St. Louis. He also doubled and homered in the 12-2 double header opening game loss.

Freddie Freeman homered twice in the Braves 7-6 win over the Nationals.

Brady Singer was 4 outs from a no hitter, finishing with 8 shutout innings, 1 hit and fanned 8 Cleveland batters in Kansas City’s 11-1 final.

Riley Smith gave the Diamondbacks long relief into the 9th, finishing with 3 1/3 shutout innings, striking out 4 Dodgers, to earn the 5-2 victory.

J. T. Realmuto went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI but the Phillies dropped the 7-6 game to Miami.
