Alex Bregman went 3 for 5 with a homer and 3 RBI as the Astros clobbered the Rangers, 12-4.

Chad Kuhl threw 7 innings of 2 hit shutout ball to help the Pirates blank the Cubs, 7-0.

Colin Moran got on base 4 times, homered and scored twice to lead the Pirates past the Cubs, 7-0.

Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched the Blue Jays into the playoffs with 7 scoreless innings, striking out 4 Yankees and earning the 4-1 decision.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Ian Anderson did not allow an earned run over 5 2/3 innings but the 3 unearned runs sunk the Braves as they were doubled up by the Marlins, 4-2.

Willi Castro collected 3 hits, including a homer, driving in 3 runs, but the Tigers fell to the Royals, 8-7.

Brandon Crawford homered in the Giants 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Dallas Keuchel held the Indians to 1 run over 6 strong innings. But the White Sox bullpen collapsed again to hand over the 5-4 final.

Andrew Heaney pitched into the 8th innings striking out 10 Mariners in 7 2/3 innings to earn the 3-2 decision for the Angels.

Franmil Reyes got 3 hits, including a homer, driving in 5, to lead the surging Indians past St. Louis, 14-2.

Eugenio Suárez reached base 4 times, including a home run, to help the Reds top the Cubs, 6-5.
 

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Brandon Crawford with 2 for 4 with a home run but the Giants came up short against Arizona, 7-4.

Clint Frazier homered and got on base 2 more times but the Yankees fell to the Mets, 6-4.
