WHO OWNED OCTOBER (#WOO) – TALLIES UPDATED FOR NLCS GAME 4 and ALCS GAME 5, October 15, 2020

Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty Images

Astros stay alive again in another thriller… and the Dodgers had their doors blown off.

Who owned October on October 15?

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.

From October 15, 2020 –

GAME 4 of the NLCS and GAME 5 of the ALCS

Receiving 1 WOO

Carlos Correa launched a walk off homer to keep the Astros alive in a 4-3 win over the Rays.

Marcell Ozuna paced the Braves with 4 hits, including 2 home runs, driving in 4, to sink the Dodgers, 10-2.

Ryan Pressly came out of the pen to get 4 critical outs, working around a Tampa Bay hit, to earn the 4-3 decision for the Astros.

Bryse Wilson dominated the Dodgers with 6 innings of 1 hit ball to put the Braves on the brink of the pennant with a 10-2 blowout.

Receiving 1/2 WOO

Ji-Man Choi reached base 4 times, including a 2 run game tying home run, but the Rays came up just short to Houston, 4-3.

Víctor González stunk the least among Dodger pitchers in the 10-2 massacre by Atlanta.

Edwin Ríos briefly gave Dodgers fan hope by hitting a solo homer that game LA the lead. Nothing else went right as the Braves plowed ahead to a 10-2 bombing.

Aaron Slegers threw 2 2/3 shutout innings, striking out 2 Astros, in the Rays 4-3 defeat.
