Dodger Stadium was empty, save for a few people here or there. Hard to please how packed and rocking this place will be during the summer.
But on this off season day, it was quiet and waiting.

Leaving Dodger Stadium, 2015 – Sully Baseball Daily Photo at Noon for January 27, 2018
I took this picture while leaving one of the oldest stadiums in baseball. That’s right, only Wrigley Field and Fenway Park are older than Dodger Stadium. And sorry Brooklynites, but the stadium in Chavez Ravine is filled with history.
Tradition is not the private property of Baby Boomers. You go into Dodger Stadium and you can imagine Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale, the infield of Cey, Russell, Lopes and Garvey, see Tommy Lasorda jumping out of the dugout, Fernando Mania, Hershiser dominating, Gibson’s homer all the way to Kershaw and company winning last year.
Yup, old timeless tradition can be felt in Los Angeles. They’ve been here for MY entire life. And coming and going from here brings back intense memories and nostalgia.
Sounds odd but it is true.

I was rooting for the Expos. I was there the day BEFORE Dennis Martinez threw a perfect game. Nice timing.
