Who Owned October (#WOO) – Tallies Updated For NLCS Game 4 and ALCS Game 3, October 15, 2019

The Nationals leaned on their much maligned bullpen to clinch the pennant. Meanwhile one of the best pitchers in the game did NOT have his best stuff but won anyway.

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.

From October 15
2019 ALCS Game 3
2019 NLCS Game 4:

Sean Doolittle got 5 critical outs, allowing no runs and striking out a batter to help the Nationals clinch the NLCS with a 7-4 final over St. Louis.

Trea Turner got 2 hits in the first inning, scoring a run and driving in 2 as the Nationals won the pennant with a 7-4 victory against the Cardinals.

Receiving 1/2 WOO

Luis Cessa struck out 3 Astros in 2 shutout innings of relief to keep the game close, but the Yankees dropped the 4-1 game.

Andrew Miller kept the Cardinals in the game with 2 shutout innings, striking out 3 Nationals. But St. Louis fell short, 7-4.
