Let’s see owned baseball on September 7, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

César Hernández got 3 hits including a homer to help the Phillies top the Mets 5-0.

Matt Olson reached base 5 times, including a home run, driving in 3, as the A’s pounded Detroit, 10-2.

Justin Verlander allowed 1 run over 7 innings, striking out 7 Mariners, as the Astros took the 2-1 final.

Alex Young struck out 12 over 8 innings of 2 hit shutout ball as the red hot Diamondbacks blanked the Reds, 2-0.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Luis Castillo struck out 10 Reds in 7 2/3 innings but took the hard luck 2-0 decision for the Reds.

Harold Castro went 4 for 5 with 2 RBI in the Tigers 10-2 loss in Oakland.

Jace Fry struck out 3 in 1 1/3 innings, allowing no hits and no runs in the White Sox 8-7 defeat by the Angels.

Trea Turner got 3 hits, scoring a run, but the Nationals fell short by the Braves, 5-4.

Let’s see owned baseball on June 27, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Joey Gallo homered twice to help the red hot Rangers top Detroit, 3-1.

Ariel Jurado threw 7 shutout innings, striking out 4 Tigers, to earn the 3-1 Texas victory.

Max Muncy went 3 for 4 with a pair of homers leading the Dodgers in another wild slug fest over Colorado, 12-8.

Aaron Nola allowed a single over 7 innings, walking 1 and striking out 10 Mets. He did not fare in the decision but helped set up the wild 6-3 Philadelphia walk off win.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Harold Castro went 3 for 4 but was stranded each time as the Tigers lost to the Rangers, 3-1.

Martín Pérez threw 7 strong innings, allowing 2 runs and striking out 6 Rays. He was long gone from the game when Minnesota dropped the 18 inning marathon, 5-2.

Miguel Rojas collected 4 hits and stole a base, scoring 2 and driving in 2, but the Marlins fell to Washington, 8-5.

Zack Wheeler struck out 7 Phillies in 6 innings, allowing 1 run. The Mets bullpen had another epic 9th inning meltdown and gave up the lead and ultimately the 6-3 game.
