Luis Castillo pitched into the 7th, striking out 9 Brewers in 6 2/3 innings to earn the 6-3 decision for the Reds.

Marco Gonzales threw 8 shutout innings, striking out 6 Astros, keeping the Mariners thin playoffs hopes alive with a 6-1 victory.

Alejandro Kirk went 4 for 4 with a homer and 3 runs scored as the Blue Jays took an 11-5 slugfest with the Yankees.

Mike Moustakas reached base 3 times, including a homer, driving in 3, as the Reds doubled up the Brewers, 6-3.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Jacob deGrom struck out 14 Rays in 7 strong innings but took the hard luck 2-1 loss for the Mets.

Eloy Jiménez got 3 hits, including a home run, but the White Sox came up short to Cleveland, 7-4.

Lance McCullers Jr. did not allow a hit through 5 and fanned 7 Mariners over 6 2/3 innings. But 4 unearned runs were the Astros undoing in the 6-1 defeat.

Randy Arozarena got three hits including 2 homers as the Rays came back to beat the Marlins, 5-4.

Jacob deGrom struck out 12 Phillies in 7 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 run as the Mets rolled, 14-1.

Dean Kremer made his debut by going 6 innings, strucking out 7 Yankees for the Orioles 5-1 victory.

Ji-Man Choi reached base 5 times, including 2 homers, as the first place Rays beat the Yankees again, 5-3.

Marco Gonzales threw a complete game for the Mariners, striking out 8 Angels, in the 2-1 final.

Rhys Hoskins doubled and homered in the Phillies 8-6 win over Washington.

Dakota Hudson went 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run and 1 unearned run, striking out 7 Reds, to earn the 7-5 decision for the Cardinals.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Shane Bieber allowed 1 hit and no runs over 6 innings, fanning 9 Royals along the way. But the Indians bullpen broke down in the 8th and dropped the 2-1 game.
