Who Owns October and Who Owns the 2019 World Series Game 4 (#WOO and #WOWS) Tallies Updated For October 26, 2018

So now it its best of three… thanks in part to Bregman’s big bat. We WILL head to Houston.

Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO(Who Owns October.)

And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.

But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)

At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.

2019 World Series Game 4:

Receiving 1 WOO

Alex Bregman drove in 5 runs with 3 hits, including a back breaking grand slam, to  pusththe Astros to an 8-1 victory in Washington.

José Urquidy held the Nationals to 2 hits and no walks over 5 shutout innings to earn the 8-1 decision for Houston.

Receiving 1/2 WOO

Anthony Rendon got a pair of hits and made some sparkling defensive plays in the Nationals 8-1 defeat by Houston.

2019 AL Division Series Game 4:

Receiving 1 WOO

Nick Anderson threw 2 1/3 shutout innings, striking out a pair of Astros, helping the Rays notched a 4-1 win.

Tommy Pham got the scoring started with a solo shot in the first. He would collected 3 hits in the Rays stunning series tying 4-1 victory over Houston.

Receiving 1/2 WOO

Robinson Chirinos homered for the Astros only run as they fell 4-1 in Tampa Bay.

José Urquidy gave the Astros 1 2/3 scoreless relief, fanning 3 Rays, but the damage was done early in the 4-1 final.

Let’s see owned baseball on July 20, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Javier Baez got 3 hits including a homer, driving in 3 to lead the Cubs past San Diego, 6-5.

Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a pair of 3 run homers to lead the Red Sox in a 17-6 thrashing of the Orioles.

Clayton Kershaw struck out 10 Marlins in 6 scoreless innings. He did not get the decision but set up the Dodgers 10-6 victory.

José Urquidy was brilliant in his third major league start, striking out 9 Rangers in 7 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 run to earn the 6-1 win for Houston.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Zack Greinke threw 7 strong innings, allowing 2 runs and striking out 9 Brewers. The Diamondbacks bullpen dropped the 8-3 final.

Brian McCann collected 3 hits, including a home run, but the Braves fell to Washington, 5-3.

Adam Plutko allowing 2 hits and 1 run over 7 innings but was saddled with the hard luck 1-0 Cleveland loss to Kansas City.

Anthony Santander went 4 for 5 with a homer and a pair of run scored but the Orioles were pounded by the Red Sox, 17-6.
