Kyle Freeland allowed 1 unearned run over 6 innings, giving up just 4 hits. That was one run too many as the slumping Rockies were shutout by the Nationals, 2-0.

Reynaldo López went 8 strong innings, striking out 10 Marlins along the way. But he took the hard luck 2-0 loss for the White Sox.

Starling Marté got 4 hits and drove in 3 but the Pirates were topped by the Cardinals, 14-8.
