Let’s see owned baseball on April 13, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Madison Bumgarner rescued the exhausted San Francisco bullpen the day after an 18 inning marathon by going 7 strong innings, allowing 6 hits, no walks and striking out 7 Rockies to get the 5-2 decision.

Chris Davis ended a nightmarish 0-54 slump with 3 hits, including a double, driving in 3 to lead the Orioles past the flopping Red Sox, 9-5.

Austin Dean went 4 for 4 with a homers, 3 runs scored and 5 RBI as the Marlins won against Philadelphia, 10-3.

Justin Verlander struck out 11 Mariners while walking none over 6 innings, giving up a solo homer and one other hit to give the red hot Astros a 3-1 final.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Chris Archer struck out 9 Nationals in 7 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run but saw the Pirates bullpen surrender the lead and the game, 3-2.

Javier Baez hit 3 doubles, driving in 2 runs, but the Cubs came up short against the Angels, 6-5.

Blake Snell threw 6 innings of 1 hit, 1 walk shutout ball, striking out 9 Blue Jays. He did not get the decision as Tampa Bay’s bullpen dropped the 3-1 game.

Christian Vazquez doubled and homered, driving in 4, but the Red Sox fell to lowly Baltimore, 9-5.
