Maikel Franco went 4 for 5 with a homer and 5 runs batted in as the Nationals bombed the Braves, 11-2.

Alek Manoah struck out 7 in 6 innings of 1 hit ball as the Blue Jays blanked the Yankees, 3-0.

Josh Rogers pitched into the 6th, allowing 2 hits over 5 1/3 innings, as the Nationals topped the Braves, 11-2.

Shane Bieber struck out 11 Tigers in 7 shutout innings to earn the 3-1 decision for Cleveland.

Mark Cahna got 3 hits including a 2 out, come from behind, 9th inning 3 run homer to put the A’s up for good, 7-6 against San Francisco.

Aaron Nola held the Mets scoreless over 7, collecting 8 strikeouts as the Phillies took the 6-2 final.

Tyler O’Neill reached base 3 times and scored in the Cardinals’ 5-1 win over the White Sox in the first game of the double header. Then in the night cap, doubled and homered as the Cardinals doubled up the White Sox, 6-3.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Daniel Castano held the Braves to 1 run over 6 innings but the Marlins bullpen dropped the 2-1 game.

Maikel Franco went 2 for 3 with a homer in the Royals 4-2 loss to the Twins.

Nick Margevicius threw 6 strong innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs and no walks, striking out 3 Astros. But the Mariners bats were dead and he took the hard luck 2-1 decision.

Jon Lester threw 5 innings of shutout, hitless ball. The Cubs would hang on to top the Reds, 8-7.

Burch Smith threw a pair of shutout innings to earn the 3-0 decision for the A’s against the Angels.

Fernando Tatís Jr. singled and tripled, driving in 3 runs, to help the Padres win 6-2 over Arizona.

Taylor Clarke held the Padres scoreless over 3 2/3 innings of relief but the Diamondbacks still dropped the 6-2 final.

Zack Godley threw 4 shutout innings out of the bullpen, striking out 7 Mets but the Red Sox dropped the 7-4 game.
