Earning Full WOBs:
Michael Conforto reached base 4 times, homered, scored 3 and stole a base to lead the Mets to a 5-4 victory over Miami.
Jacob deGrom dominated the Marlins with 7 innings of 2 hit, 1 run ball, striking out 14 in the process. The bullpen blew his lead but the Mets wound up taking the 5-4 final.
Mike Fiers held the Rangers to an unearned run over 6 frames as the A’s won again, 3-1.
Rowdy Tellez homered twice and added a single as the Blue Jays clobbered the Red Sox, 9-1.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Patrick Corbin threw 6 innings, allowing 2 runs, but was not involved in the decision as the Phillies edged his Nationals 3-2.
Whit Merrifield went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI in the Royals 6-5 loss to St. Louis.
Masahiro Tanaka was brilliant through 5 innings, allowing 3 hits, no walks and no rins. But he was lifted and the Yankee bullpen allowed the Braves to come back, 2-1, and finish the double header sweep.
Christian Walker got 3 hits and drove in 4 runs but the Diamondbacks came up short against Colorado, 8-7.
