Earning Full WOBs:
Matt Chapman singled, doubled and homered, driving in 5 to power the red hot A’s past Seattle, 9-2.
Bryce Harper reached base 4 times, homered and hit a dramatic 2 run walk off double in the bottom of the 9th to give the Phillies a wild 9-8 win over the Dodgers.
Glenn Sparkman threw a complete game 5 hit shutout, striking out 8 as the Royals blanked the White Sox, 11-0.
Brandon Woodruff pitched into the 7th, allowing 1 run over 6 2/3 innings and striking out 7 as the Brewers won a 13-1 laugher over the Braves.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Jack Flaherty struck out 8 Pirates in 7 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 run. The Cardinals bullpen would drop the 3-1 final.
Manuel Margot singled and homered in the Padres 12-7 loss to Miami.
Omar Narváez homered twice and added a single but his Mariners were blown out in Oakland, 9-2.
Michael Pineda allowed 1 earned run over 6 innings, walking none and striking out 3 Mets. He would be saddled with the hard luck 3-1 decision for the Twins.
